Dr. Neil Bergstrom

Senior Vice President of Engineering

Neil Bergstrom joined Xerocoat in October 2007 and is responsible for process and equipment technology development, new product development, product reliability and manufacturing scale-up. Before joining Xerocoat, Neil was CTO and SVP of Engineering at Southwall Technologies, a producer of thin film roll-coated products for display, automotive and architectural applications. In this role, he led the development of new products with greatly improved reliability and was part of the team that initiated a new tandem-junction thin film photovoltaic module factory in Germany. Prior to this, he was VP of Engineering at Qualcomm MEMS Technologies and at Iridigm Display before its acquisition by Qualcomm. In this role, he successfully developed and transferred new MEMs display technology into existing LCD display manufacturing lines. At Iridigm Display, Neil also served as VP of Business Development where he established key offshore manufacturing partnerships. In addition Neil held positions with Apple—where he directed Apple’s adoption of LCD flat panel display technology, and Intel—where he worked in process integration. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from U.C. Berkeley.
